Origin: Pali / Sanskrit
By combining ‘Sky’ with ‘Goer,’ วิหค literally translates to ‘The Sky-Goer.’
Beyond the literal ‘Bird’, วิหค is used in poetic imagery: 1) วิหคเหิรลม 📣 (wí-hòk hǒen-lom—Bird Gliding Wind): Moving with grace or absolute freedom. 2) วิหคพลัดถิ่น 📣 (wí-hòk phlát-thìn—Bird Lost Land): A wanderer or person displaced far from home.
